Beschreibung

I don t like this book. We ve read this at school and it was so boring for people in our age. The story is not exciting. So I don t recommend this book for young people. Film instead of book ;)

I read the novel ¿Of Mice and Men¿ at school and I don¿t really like it. The novel describes the life of two persons, on the way to their dream of a farm of their own. On their way, some strange things happen. One of the two friends kills a woman. The other one wants to help him and a drama is the consequence. The novel shows how friends react to each other in stressfull situations. Personally I wouldn¿t read this book in my freetime, because it¿s not among my interest.

The novel ¿Of Mice & Man¿ was written by John Steinbeck in 1937. The story is about two farm workers. Both go from farm to farm and work there. The migrant farm workers are called Lennie and George. Lennie is an ill person, who can¿t control his strengths and needs help from his friend George. They have a dream of a big farm of their own and that they are happy there. But on their way they get in trouble with other people and with some problems. These novel is not advisable, because the context is complicated and you can¿t really understand anything. You must have a look at much vocabulary, so you might be stressed out. I don¿t advise this novel, because it¿s complicated and after some time boring.

At school we read the novel ¿Of Mice and Men¿ by John Steinbeck. This novel is based on the farm workers in 1930`ies in the USA. John Steinbeck shows us a friendship, which at the beginning is good and at the end very sad. John Steinbeck illustrates us the life of the farm workers. They have to travel from area to area for work. They have no families and don¿t really have a home. Another point in this novel is the discrimination of black people. In this time discrimination of black people was normal. The reader can feel wiht the black people, they feel very sad and alone. The black people were like slaves, they did the work for white people and got less wages than the white farm workers. The topics which John Steinbeck writes about in his novel, can be reflected on today. With ¿Of Mice and Men¿ John Steinbeck demonstrates that we are all equal and friendships are very important everywhere. All in all I come to the conclusion, that this novel shows us the problems of the farm workers in this time. But it is difficult to understand the topic, because of the vocabulary. You have to look for some words and that is sometimes a pain. In my freetime I wouldn¿t read this book, but reading it at school is acceptable, in my opinion.

I have read the novel ¿Of mice and men¿ by John Steinbeck at school and I found the book okay. The story of the novel is interesting, because at the beginning you can not foresee how the end is. The ending is very surprising, because Lennie loves to touch soft things and he killed Curley¿s wife, because she found it is now enough to touch her hairs. Lennie runs away and George searches him and kills him. The language is often difficult to understand, because the language is very old and it isn¿t colloquial. Furthermore the editorial notes is difficult, because most of them are words, which you don¿t use it in colloquial speech. You must look up many vocabularies in a dictionary. All in all, the book is okay, and you can learn from it. You learn about the migrants and their life at that time. The book shows, how two different migrant workers go through thick and thin, because they want to live their dream of a own farm.

I read the novel ¿Of mice and Man¿ by John Steinbeck at school. I think the novel is O.K., because the story is acceptable, but it is not easy to read. The situation of the migrant workers of the novel is the same situation of the migrant workers today. Because the workers travel from place to place an work on different farms. I think it is nice that the novel illustrates the different desires (integration and a ¿good¿ future). For me it is a sensitive, but a critical novel about loneliness of the migrant workers. But the end is disappointing because unfortunately the end can be already suspected form the beginning.

I read this book at school. I don¿t like it, because it was difficult to read for me because I¿m bad in English. But we have spoken about the story at school, so I think the story is ok. Because it shows the life of migrants who travel from place to place. They are often alone, but Lennie and George don¿t want it, they have different dreams than the other migrants. Their dream are shown in the book. I like Lennie good because he is always looking for love and he is lonely.

Ok for school, but i would not read it in my freetime
The book ¿Of Mice and Men¿ written by John Steinbeck was not very good. I had to read the book for school. It is not easy to read the book for people who do not often read English books but it is getting more easier if you read on. Abbreviation are often used in the book. This makes it a bit complicated to understand. At the beginning the story is very boring, but if you read on the story gets a bit more interesting. The book is often very detailed and this makes it very difficult to remember all details. The story shows the life of migrants who have to travel a lot to find a job and who haven¿t got a real home. The people have a hard life and are often alone. For people who are interested in the life of migrants it is may be interesting. The characters are very different. George always cares for Lennie and tries to do everything to have a good life together with him. Lennie is very childlike and doesn¿t really know what he is doing. This is what makes it difficult for George to care about Lennie. All in all I wouldn¿t read it again but for people who like reading English book it might be ok.

bewegend
